About & FAQ
About ForgeMatch
ForgeMatch was created to help Rocksmith players find their favorite songs available as CustomForge CDLCs. Log in with Spotify, and we instantly match your liked songs against our catalog.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Some tracks have incorrect info — how do I fix it?Message Scared Donut#0001 on Discord with the CDLC ID and a description of what's wrong.
2. How do I submit a new track?First check All Tracks to confirm it's missing. If not there, visit Link Tracks and scroll through until it gets auto-linked. If it's truly absent, use the Submit A Track page.
3. Why are there duplicates?Likely not a bug — check the CDLC Author column. Different authors sometimes tab the same song.
4. Why so many tracks but few CDLC matches?Tracks link automatically when a user with that song visits Link Tracks. The more users link, the more matches appear for everyone.
5. Why do I need to log in with Spotify? We need to read your liked songs to match them. We only request the minimum permissions needed.
6. What data do you store?Only your Spotify username and email. When you visit Link Tracks we store which songs matched, to power your Matches page.
7. Do you access CustomForge servers? No. All track data is stored on our servers. We only link out to CustomForge — no music or artwork is hosted here.
8. Why can't I pick a specific playlist? We currently match against your Liked Songs. Playlist selection is a planned feature.
9. Why do some songs have no preview? Not all songs on Spotify have a 30-second preview available — this is determined by Spotify and outside our control.
